Itinerary

Day 1: Cochin
Today arrival at the Cochin (Kochi) airport. Cochin is the most attractive city in South India at Malabar Coast and is famous as Venice of South. On arrival, you will be met by Indo Royal Holidays representative and transferred to the hotel in Cochin.

Day 2: Cochin - Munnar (about 130 km / 3 hours)
Today in the morning after having breakfast we start our sightseeing in Cochin. Today we visit Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church, where Vasco Da Gama was buried, Jewish Synagogue, Chinese Fishing Nets, etc. After sightseeing we proceed to Munnar enjoying the elevated peaks, picturesque waterfalls and magnificence. Munnar is a stunning hill resort located in the cradle of tea farms. Munnar, the queen of hill stations is situated at the convergence of 3 mountain tributories namely, Kundala, Nallathanni and Mudrapuzha along the western Ghats on the eastern edge of Kerala and was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Extensive tea farms, scenic towns and winding paths make this a popular resort. Arrival in Munnar in the evening and transferred to the hotel.

Day 3: Munnar
Today in the morning after having breakfast we start our sightseeing in Munnar. Today we visit the tea plantation, Rajmalai, a summit of Mattupetty and Munnar. Rajmalai is the natural dwelling of the Nilgiri Tahr, situated around 14 km from Munnar. About 50% of the world population of the rare mountain goat, which is becoming vanished, is now found here.Mattupetty is located around 16 kms from Munnar and popular for its extremely specific dairy farm - the Indo Swiss Livestock project. More than 100 types of high yielding livestock are nurtured here. 
Day 4: Munnar - Thekkady (Periyar about 80 km / 2 hours)
Today in the morning after having breakfast we proceed to Thekkady. Arrival in Thekkady. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel in Thekkady. Thekkady is a environmentalists heaven of eternal successions of mounts and spice fragranced cultivated areas. It has well-preserved tropical forests and incredible affluence of flora and fauna. Thekkady is famous for Periyar National Park and elephants are the prominent attraction of Thekkady. After relaxation we proceed to Periyar National Park. The Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most fascinating wildlife parks in the world and also one of the major and best wildlife reserves of  India. Periyar National Park spreads over an area of about 778 sq km and was designated a part of project Tiger in the year 1973. In the evening we have a boat ride on the Periyar Lake and watch the activities of tiger, wild boar, spotted deer, bison, wild oxen and elephants. Afterwards we visit spice agricultural estates like tea, coffee, pepper, cinnamon, cardamom estates etc. en-route to the hotel.

Day 5: Periyar - Kumarakom
Today in the morning after having breakfast we proceed to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is the prominent backwater tourist spot and most attractive heaven in Kerala. The backwaters of Kumarakom is dwelling to a large number of flora, fauna and marine life. En-route we spot several local activities of the people living along the backwaters and also visit some of the tourist spots on the way. Upon arrival in Kumarakom, transfer to a backwater resort. Rest of the day free for leisure.
Day 6: Kumarakom - Alleppey
Today in the morning after having breakfast, we leave the resort and you will be transferred to a traditional houseboat of Kerala style in Alleppey and enjoy the sail through the backwaters. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 7: Alleppey - Cochin
Today in the morning after having breakfast, we leave the houseboat at Alleppey and drive to the Cochin airport for the onwards journey or flight to home destination.
