Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Today arrival in Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital Delhi is the major entrance for travelers to India. On arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2: New Delhi
Today in the morning after having breakfast we start our sightseeing of Old Delhi. In Old Delhi we visit Jama Masjid, the famous mosque of Old Delhi and Rajghat, the site which is devoted to Mahatma Gandhi. Afterwards we proceed to visit Qutub Minar  which is 71 meter tall and was built in the year 1199 and the well-known Humayun Tomb which is the first significant example of Mughal structural design in India. Then we proceed to New Delhi where we visit the India Gate, Embassies and Government buildings. After sightseeing we proceed back to hotel.
Day 3: New Delhi - Mandawa (about 270 km / 5-6 hours)
Today in the morning after having breakfast we proceed to Mandawa. Shekhawati is situated in the North east part of Rajasthan and is the dwelling of Marwaris. The Marwaris form one of the most prominent business and merchant groups in India. They expanded their business on the trade routes between Delhi and the coast between Central Asia and India. Most of the Marwaris built magnificent Havellis and the Marwaris are mainly benefited by Maharajas. In the evening we have sightseeing of the Havellis of the Shekhawati Region. The Havellis are mansions, ornately and pleasantly ornamented very beautifully. The walls are often covered with wall paintings, local myths and sacred views from Hindu traditions.
Day 4: Mandawa - Jaipur (about 168 km / 3½ hours)
Today in the morning after having breakfast we proceed to the Pink City Jaipur. This city owes its name, basis and careful planning to the great astronomer and soldier, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Jaipur is a busting capital city of Rajasthan and popular for its handicrafts and precious and semiprecious sandstones. In the afternoon we visit the City Palace which is still the formal dwelling of the royal family, constructed in a blend of the Mughal and Rajasthani style. In the city palace museum we visit the private collection of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Then we proceed to Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, which is one of the largest among the 5 notable observatories of Jai Singh. Instruments of Jantar Mantar reveals the secrets of medieval Indian astronomy.
Day 5: Jaipur
Today in the morning after having breakfast we start our sightseeing of Jaipur. Today we visit the ancient capital of Amber, situated about 12 kms far away from Jaipur. Amber was the prehistoric capital of Kachhawaha empire for 6 centuries before it was moved to newly created Jaipur. In Amber Fort we will enjoy elephant ride. Then we visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), built in 1799 AD, it includes 953 small windows with each having its own terrace. In the ancient times when ladies of royal families are not allowed to go outside, at that time these ladies use these windows to see the activities taking place in the jaipur city. In the afternoon we have a walk through the beautiful Bazaar of Jaipur and visit a factory to see the famous work of block printing. In the evening we drive through the new city of Jaipur and visit Birla Mandir, a Hindu shrine built in white marble. In Birla Mandir  we might have an opportunity to observe a prayer ceremony. In the evening we go to Choki Dhani Resort which is a typical Rajasthani Village where we enjoy Rajasthani Food with presentation of Indian dance and music.
Day 6: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (about 260 km / 5-6 hours)
Today in the morning after having breakfast we leave Rajasthan, the largest state in India and drive through a series of pastures, villages and small towns to Agra. On the way we will stop for a while and visit Fatehpur Sikri, built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century. Beautiful city of Fatehpur Sikri was built by red sand stones. Arrival in Agra in the late evening. Rest of the time free for leisure at the hotel.
Day 7: Agra
Today in the morning after having breakfast we start our sightseeing of Agra. We visit Agra Fort, constructed by three of the greatest Mughal rulers. The structure of this huge building started in the year 1565 under reign of Akbar and lasts till the time of  supremacy of his grandsons, Shah Jahan who built the imposing majestic mosque and sections. After visiting Agra Fort we proceed to visit the most striking monument of India, the Taj Mahal, the symbol of love, with a repeatedly gratifying magnificence. Taj Mahal was constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631-52, as a grave and monument to his darling wife Mumtaz Mahal  (Jewel of the Palace). After visiting Taj Mahal we proceed to visit the Bazaars of Agra, where we have a look at the prominent fine granite inlay work which is still being done in Agra by the successors of the families of musicians and designers of the Taj Mahal.
Day 8: Agra - New Delhi (about 200 km / 4 hours)
Today in the morning after having breakfast we proceed to New Delhi. Arrival in New Delhi in the afternoon. Rest of the time free for leisure at the hotel. Depending on your departure time you will be transferred to airport or railway station for onwards journey.
